Amidst the global pandemic, Lacy and her husband, Felipe, relocated to the Brazilian countryside, where they breathed new life into an abandoned family home that had once been cherished by neighbors and relatives. Together, they spent their days completing an unfinished dream and restoring elements that had long been neglected while adding special touches of their own.

Together, they replaced the roof structure and clay tiles, enclosed the property with a brick wall, and stuccoed both the house and wall. They regraded the land, built a covered outdoor kitchen and 'churrasqueira,' laid stone patios, and replaced the driveway and sidewalk. They also restored the original doors, windows, parquet wood floors, and original kitchen and bathroom tiles. Custom details and lighting were added, and the property was thoughtfully landscaped and gardened, among many other improvements.
