Originally built in 1957, this split level 3,000 sf ranch was remodeled and received a 2,500 sf addition. Designed and built by Habilis Design Build, Lacy worked on this project as an architectural designer and drafter from beginning to end providing as-builts and concept development through structural engineering coordination, permit submittal, full construction documents, and interior design.

The clients were ready for their dream home at the base of the Flatirons in their favorite style of mid-century modern. Selections including the brick, cement block, custom Douglas fir paneling, terrazzo floors, vintage tiles, and accents in Cherokee red all pay tribute to architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Unique challenges included coordinating the 12+ different roofs, clerestory windows, curved walls and steel, roof decks, and post-less window and sliding glass door corners. The homeowners' personal collection of time period furniture and art as well as xeriscape gardens round out the final product and the result is a stunning showpiece.
